Today, many of those imaginative perceptions of the future have become a reality. Although flying cars may be a long ways away, having a smart, futuristic home is quite common place today.

For some time now, home owners have had the ability to remotely control their lights, appliances and view images of their home or business via wireless cameras. New technology has made it possible to take that one step further; To view and control cameras at home or across world, as well as control all of your appliances, lights, and anything else requiring electricity, via the internet.

I specifically set up my lights to come on at various times, set my thermostat to maintain the most efficient temperature until I am ready to come home and set my cameras up to keep an eye on things when I am not there. Some examples of other things you can do are:
• Warm up the Hot Tub before you head home
• Turn on Fans or the AC to cool your house down after a hot day

Airline crewmembers benefit from automation in the cockpit and at home

In the world of aviation, the word “automation” is term all crewmembers are familiar with. From the most basic aspects of automation such as utilizing an autopilot to sophisticated fly by wire, computer driven aircraft systems, the role of automation is to make a pilot’s job easier by reducing the work load in the cockpit. Most new aircraft today have glass cockpits, computer driven systems and hi-tech navigation systems. Modern aircraft are built today with automatic functions that perform certain actions without the pilot’s input. Once again this helps to reduce the work load for crewmembers and enables them to work more efficiently.

As a crewmember who appreciates the benefits of automation, there are ways that automation can benefit us in our home and business lives. With technology today, our lives have been greatly enhanced. Everyone has experienced automation in some form or another. The latest and greatest high tech gadgets are offering more in the ways of automation for the home or business owner more than ever before and has become more common place. Some of the more popular and inexpensive automation products are made by X10. X10, a company in business for over 20 years, utilizes X10 technology. X10, simply stated, is a protocol that enables electrical signals and impulses to be transmitted thru current household electrical systems to carry out a function or series of functions.

By the time you or the police are notified, your home could have very easily been looted or vandalized by then.
This security system can be programmed to call you, the neighbor or someone close by that can take immediate action if an alarm goes off. Combine this with your security cameras to monitor what is taking place when the alarm goes off and you have a system that can offer you peace of mind

There are several package deals available all for an affordable price. Your security cameras can be utilized to watch your home, see who is approaching your property, who is stealing from you at work, or simply to watch over the baby’s room. The possibilities are endless.
